You don’t have to have great detective skills to appreciate a good mystery. But if you watch enough mysteries, then you tend to pick up on clues that other viewers might miss. That’s part of the fun of the genre. It’s a challenge to unravel the puzzle before the on-screen detective or leading characters put it together. The movies always do their best to subvert audience expectations, and the swerves are a welcome experience. Netflix has embraced the mystery genre by making several original films of its own, in addition to a selection of flicks from other studios. If you’ve got an itch to solve a crime, then check out the best mysteries on Netflix.
